Rich Horrocks is first and foremost, a writer. The word makes him feel proud and being called one makes him smile. His passion is Fantasy/Sci-Fi. He currently reads much more than he writes, concentrating mainly on Forgotten Realms books, which he thoroughly enjoys. He hopes to someday soon join the ranks of the published author. He practices his writing by role-playing with his friends in an RP message Board called The Castle. It's a wonderful playground for one as creative as he.
His hobbies besides reading and writing are as follows. Video games of just about any genre except for sports. He loves RPG's and FPS's the most, though. He's obsessed with Stand-Up comedy and watches it on TV constantly. Rock music including Evanescence, System of a Down, Nickelback, Metallica, Guns n Roses and Pink Floyd keep his feet tapping and head banging. Kevin Smith movies dot the top of his favorite movie list. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl, and Clerks 2. The man is a genius and damn funny.
Rich is currently working for a company called Unisys Technical Services where he is a field technician working on Dell, Gateway and IBM computers, mostly laptops. He finished his Job Corps degree in June 2007, worked at Circuit City as a salesperson for about a year and then quit to finally work on computers at Unisys.
Okay, that all sounds stuffy and overly formal. I'm a nerd. I'm sensitive. I'm selfish. I'm lazy. I'm loyal. I'm faithful. I'm a perv. I'm slightly attractive at times. I have problems with getting girls to see me as anything other than a brother-figure. I have occasional problems with self-loathing. I'm shy when I'm nervous and I'm nervous when I'm in strange situations in person. I'm constantly called out on the fact that I don't talk much in social situations. I'm a Wheel of Time addict. I watch a lot of TV. I'm obsessed with starting a family one day. I'm very sexually-minded, but at the end of the day I just want a girl to hold and care about. I'm a grammar-nazi. I hate all types of bigotry, but being human, I'm guilty of it at times myself. Mostly against walking stereotypes, though. I'm actively and purposely delusional.
